He worked for a year on a “Paper Negative” project for Douglas Aircraft Missile Systems Division, which led to a 21/2 year position for Eastman Kodak in Dallas, Texas. Upon his return to Los Angeles Stephen worked for a major film-processing lab. He was on television and movie sets working with cinematographers and cinographicers on a daily basis. His passion for photography was growing. Stephen took a detour when he realized that he needed to make money. He bought into a manufacturing rep company and twenty years later sold his interest in the firm. Stephen has spent the last 5 years volunteering with seniors and youth. He is an elected member of the Mar Vista Neighborhood Council. He travels three or 4 times a year (within the United States) mostly to locations, he has never visited previously. Stephen has won several awards at juried art exhibits. His photos have been published in newspapers, on the United States Congressional web sites, the Los Angeles City Council blogs, etc. He is a regular contributor of photos and articles to local neighborhood association newsletters. Stephen tries not to color correct any of his work. He feels that he has frozen a moment in time and would like to share it as he remembers it. He uses Nikon cameras and lenses exclusively. |
